Protect the area where your tattoo will be made with sunscreen.

We recommend making an appointment to make your tattoo as close to your possible departure.

Follow the recommendations of the artist.

Remove the bandage between 2 and 4 hours.

Wash with plenty of warm water and neutral soap and let air dry.

Apply cream for tattoos several times a day.

Do not scratch or remove the crust of your tattoo.

Use FPS 50 sunblock and cover it completely with vaseline to swim in sea or pool.

“Before touching the piercing area, it is very important to wash your hands well with soap and water,” says the expert.

Once the hands are very clean, “we must moisten the skin around the piercing to soften the scabs that have formed and remove them effortlessly. You can use, for example, a cotton swab”. He advises not to squeeze them, or tear them off when they are dry, “because that way the piercing can be infected..

Afterward, you have to wash the piercing area well with neutral soap and rinse with plenty of water.

Once you have removed all the soap, spray the piercing with saline and make sure it goes into the hole, moving the earring so that the solution enters the incision.

Subsequently, the skin should be dried carefully. Sterile gauze or a swab can be used, but not on your hands, towels, or cotton, as they can make it easier for the wound to become infected.

In case it is suspected that the piercing may be becoming infected recommends adding a disinfectant such as a povidone-iodine. Instead, you should not put alcohol or hydrogen peroxide on the perforation because “it can delay healing.”

If, despite all the above advice, the piercing becomes infected, the pharmacist explains that there are two options:

-Remove the piercing and heal the incision with the normal disinfection method: if the piercing is removed, it can be put back on, but the skin must be given time to fully renew itself.
–Change the piercing to one of pure titanium and disinfect: titanium promotes faster healing.
